The Herb Garden was started in 1983 by the present owners, Lynne and Steve Raynor. Since then it has grown to become one of the most foremost herb gardens in the country. There are four gardens, - the main garden, which is the original, and the physic, lavender and pot pourri gardens, which were opened in 1991.

A collection of Echinacea genus can also be seen within the gardens.
