The Physic Garden houses a most comprehensive collection of medicinal plants from all over the world.   The result of 25 years collecting, many plants from which modern medicines are derived can be seen growing and flowering.

The collection spans from medieval herbs to present day, and includes the weird and wonderful Mandrake, Belladonna, Monkshood, Opium poppy, Sassafras and Ginseng.
